Nelson Equipment Co., Inc. (NECI) was
founded in 1968, by Jack D. Nelson and
has been headquartered in Shreveport,
Louisiana since that time. We are an
experienced integrator of material
handling systems and equipment with our
primary focus on conveying systems and
equipment, storage & retrieval systems
and equipment, and dock & door systems
and equipment, with special attention to
safety and ergonomics.
NECI is a Louisiana Corporation with a
staff that has over 150 years of
combined experience specific to the
material handling industry. As a
Louisiana contractor, we are licensed to
totally install the material handling
systems we design and have vast project
management experience in this area. Our
Louisiana contractor's license number is
24367.

Our capabilities begin in the conceptual
stages with the layout and design
concepts, utilizing the latest
technologies that are proven to be
successful. Design and selection of the
equipment is only the beginning. Once
equipment is selected, our own project
management team oversees the
installation process with a trained and
experienced technical staff. Our
certified technicians are available to
maintain all the systems we design on a
24 hour, 7 day a week basis.
NECI also offers custom design and
fabrication of specialty material
handling equipment. Our design
capabilities take us into the field were
we make equipment modifications and
retrofits to existing equipment that may
require these changes in order to
maintain productivity levels that are in
demand in today's competitive business
climate.
Our Corporate Headquarters is located in
Shreveport, Louisiana. and we have a
sales office in Baton Rouge that allows
us to provide personal attention within
a short time period.
With many multi-million dollar systems
installed and successfully working
today, NECI utilizes its knowledge and
experience to identify solutions for any
material handling situation your
organization may have. Keeping current
with tomorrow’s technologies is
accomplished through our continuing
education programs that are provided
through in-house training facilities,
seminars, and vendor specific training.
As President of Nelson Equipment, Mark
Nelson received his Professional
Certification of Material Handling in
1989. He was presented the "Material
Handler of the Year" award in 1990 by
the Material Handling & Management
Society for his contributions to the
industry. Our company is a member in
good standing of the Material Handling
Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA).
