NECI “RACKS” Up another successful
storage design in the food industry
Nelson
Equipment Co.’s representative Michael Nelson recently completed a successful
design and installation of a high density storage system to handle seafood
product and a freezer environment. The challenge was to utilize all of the
available space and maximize storage of product in the freezer. The high cost
of operating a freezer demands that every available cubic foot is used to its
fullest potential.
Working with
the customer, NECI developed a solution that optimized space and also designed a
portion of the storage system to be galvanized to assist in the protecting the
system from the corrosive environment.

Safety continues to be a top priority
in the warehousing industry
A recent video posted on You Tube
again emphasizes the need for constant awareness of the dangers within the
warehousing environment. Rack manufacturers are continually looking for design
improvements and protective safety designs to protect their product. Lift truck
manufactures have invested heavily in safety training and products that alert
when impacts occur. Nothing however, replaces personnel responsibility. Below
