Dear Customers :
As we all know, 2008 has been a very challenging
year from an economic standpoint for anyone
operating a business. Prices for raw steel,
steel-based products and petroleum-based products
have continued to climb, driving up operating costs
at an unprecedented pace. At Hytrol, they have been
very aggressive in supplier negotiations and cost
containment measures in order to hold our pricing to
you.
As costs have continued to rise, however, they are
no longer able to absorb the full burden of the
increases. Their incentive to hold pricing on orders
till the end of the year ended on the last day of
June. Effective
with all new orders entered on or after August
1, 2008, we will be implementing a surcharge
of 8% on the price of the order. This
surcharge will apply across the board to all new
orders. Hopefully this advance notice will be
sufficient to allow you to adjust your decisions on
pending projects.
We appreciate the continuing opportunity to earn our
position as your conveyor supplier of choice.
