Company News

From the Desk of Mark K. Nelson, President

Let me begin with a word of encouragement to all of you who have been affected by the wrath of Hurricane Katrina. Our heartfelt prayers go out to each of you in this time of chaos, confusion and unknowns. I do not pretend to understand the personal stress that you are going through. What I do know is there is a willingness to put back what was so quickly removed by Katrina. In time, we will see the positives that will rise from the carnage and debris that this storm has left behind.

Louisiana residents and businesses are resilient, and Nelson Equipment Co., Inc. is prepared to assist businesses in getting back on their feet, up and running at full production, thus allowing their employees to go back to work. Our staff of field sales engineers is prepared to come into the area to assess damage and needs. We have been given assurances from our valued suppliers that they will do whatever they can to assist us with the needs of our customers.

We understand that the resources at your respective companies will be thin for some time to come. We offer our service support at no charge in order to help speed the process and get your organization up and running as quickly as possible. Our service technicians are available to assess damage to existing equipment and provide written repair estimates or, if necessary, professional assessment of damage beyond repair for claim requirements.

All of our suppliers have communicated with us and offered their assistance in any way possible. They are asking us to communicate the needs to them over the next weeks and months, and they stand committed to help your business get back to full operation. Already, Jimmy Feazel, president of Feazel Electrical Contractors, has traveled to south Louisiana, taking on a multi-faceted role. While assessing the damage and needs, Jimmy, with the assistance of his church, drove down in a bus in order to transport people out of south Louisiana to shelters in northwest Louisiana.

While our branch office in New Orleans is inoperable, our staff is being relocated and will be available to assist in the rebuilding process when the time comes.

Nelson Equipment Co., Inc. fully understands that the task ahead of us all is large and, at times, insurmountable. A first step is always required to reach an objective. We stand ready to make that first step with you.

Our toll free number, 800-523-6199, will be monitored after normal business hours. Leave a detailed message and you will be contacted quickly by a representative of our company to ascertain your needs.

God bless you,

Mark K. Nelson, PCMH
President
